A Simple Care Routine for a Travel Water Bottle
Keep the routine tied to the bottle you actually use.
Before an outing
Check the bottle and drinking surface for visible damage or residue. Follow the setup directions and fill it with fresh drinking water as instructed. Confirm that the closure is in its intended position before carrying it.
During the water break
Use the bottle according to the maker’s directions. Keep the drinking surface away from unsuitable contact surfaces when possible. Do not assume a return-water feature or a lock works the same way on every design.
After the outing
Empty and clean the parts using the method specified for that model. Do not assume every bottle is dishwasher safe or suitable for boiling water. Pay attention to seals, removable parts and any separate storage area.
Before storage
Let the parts dry as directed and reassemble them only as the instructions recommend. Inspect seals and moving parts periodically. If a part is damaged or missing, seek the appropriate replacement rather than relying on an improvised repair.
